Linus, Shelter Hope Pet Shop Santa Clarita (VIDEO)

A 4 year old terrier mix named Linus refuses to let his partially paralyzed hind legs slow him down, and is the best runner of all the dogs at Shelter Hope Pet Shop Santa Clarita.

“He’s actually the fastest of the field here – he’s very tough,” said Dani Caouette, owner of Shelter Hope. “Our vet thinks he may have been hit by a car before he landed at the shelter, so he didn’t receive proper treatment.”

For the past six months, Shelter Hope volunteers have watched Linus improve every day, and he can now stand and walk on his four legs for miles. run at full speed.

“We donated a wheelchair to him and he didn’t like it,” said Caouette. “He doesn’t want us to feel sorry for him. It is very resistant. He just doesn’t want us to see him any differently – he’s just like any other dog.

Equally playful and affectionate, Linus enjoys other dogs, gets along well with cats and adores children, according to Caouette.

“Her ideal home would be a family with children. He loves children, ”she said. “What I wish I had for him maybe someone who is interested in learning acupuncture, aquatherapy, laser therapy – the different things that could help him. to heal even more than we have been able to do so far. ”
