Morrisons is selling frozen dog treats to keep pets cool in the summer heat

Supermarket chain Morrisons has announced it is selling dog popsicles to keep them cool this summer. Costing £5 for a six-pack, Woof & Brew Ice Pops are made with natural, plant-based ingredients and developed in partnership with vets.

Typically selling for £6 on Amazon and specialist pet retailers, customers can save 20% by heading to Morrisons to pick up a pack. Pet charity Blue Cross recommends keeping pets cool by using delicious frozen treats and popsicles are a perfect option.

Dogs cannot sweat through their skin like humans and rely on panting and the release of heat from their paws and nose to regulate their body temperature.

Jaymie Broughton, Morrisons pet care and treats buyer, said: “With the summer expected to be hot, we want to help customers look after their pets and make sure no one is running out of s fun in the sun. These Woof & Brew Paw Pops are great for cooling dogs down in the heat and are the cheapest on the market.

To help customers stock up for the summer, Morrisons has slashed prices on more than 75 home-branded products and will offer many more ‘when they’re gone’ deals, on toys, accessories and pet bedding as part of its pet event. , until Sunday, July 10.
